Transaction Verification

The two steps

When you pay, your funds are received and recorded against your transaction. The dealership has not been paid at that moment and cannot be paid until verification passes and an authorised approval is recorded.

• Step one: we receive your payment and your transaction moves to awaiting verification.
• Step two: verification passes, an authorised approver releases settlement, and the dealership is paid.

What we verify before settlement

Every one of these must pass. A failure on any single item blocks settlement — the approval control will not let it through.

• The vehicle is still available, confirmed by the dealership within the allowed window.
• The VIN on the vehicle matches the VIN on your transaction.
• The price matches the amount you accepted, to the cent.
• The dealership holds current authority and documentation to sell the vehicle.
• Your inspection decision, if you ordered one, has been recorded.

When vehicle funds stop being refundable

Vehicle funds become non-refundable once dealer settlement has been approved and released, because at that point the money is with the dealership. Before that point, refund eligibility depends on the stage of your transaction and the published refund and cancellation policy.

• Service, inspection and negotiation fees have their own refund rules, stated on each line of your cost breakdown before you pay.
• Your purchase page always shows the current refund position in plain language — you never have to guess.

What this is not

This is an operational process, not a financial product. Kasmota does not provide insurance, does not guarantee the condition or performance of any vehicle, and does not offer a regulated escrow service. What we offer is a sequence: payment received, vehicle verified, settlement approved by an authorised person, and a record of all three.

We do not guarantee vehicle condition, shipping dates, or customs outcomes. Where a dealership, carrier or authority controls an outcome, we say so.

Every step is recorded

Each state change on your transaction is written to an append-only audit trail with the actor, the timestamp and the reason. Records are never edited or deleted; corrections are made by adding a reversing entry. You can request the history of your own transaction at any time.

How to recognise us

Payment instructions are generated by the system and appear only on your authenticated purchase page. Kasmota staff will never ask you to send money to a personal account, and will never contact you with different payment details.
